Soap Calculator is a browser-based tool for planning soap recipes, estimating mold capacity, checking fragrance usage, and tracking cure dates.

Most recipe work happens locally in your browser. We do not run a user account system for the calculator itself, and we do not ask you to upload your formulas to use the core tools.

1. What We Collect

  • Local recipe data: Recent recipes, notes, and calculator preferences may be saved in your browser local storage so your work persists between visits.
  • Shared recipe links: If you choose the share feature, your recipe is encoded into the URL hash on your device. Anyone you send that link to can read the recipe data contained in that link.
  • Analytics and diagnostics: We may collect basic usage data such as page views, device type, referral source, and performance/error information to improve reliability and usability.

We do not intentionally collect payment details, government IDs, or sensitive personal information for the calculator's core workflow.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide the tools: To run calculations, restore your recent recipe history, and support optional export features such as calendar reminders.
  • Improve the product: To understand which pages and tools are useful, where users encounter friction, and where the site needs performance or UI improvements.
  • Protect the service: To detect abuse, spam, or misuse of the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Local Storage, Cookies, and Browser Data

Soap Calculator uses browser storage to remember recent recipes and preferences. If analytics or advertising features are enabled, related providers may also place cookies or similar identifiers in your browser.

You can remove locally saved calculator data at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

  • Do not use the share feature if you do not want recipe details embedded in a link.

Soap Calculator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
